The exhaust stacks in the lower shroud have had the optional tip bands installed using the banding material supplied with the kit


 

The base of the cast shrouds can be shipped to either trim line shown above - the "A" trim line will be supplied unless otherwise specified.  (The "A" trim line is best used for surface mounted shrouds ... the "B" trim line is parallel to the cowl centerline and is the easiest to use for inside the cowl mounting.)  Other base cuts can be done on request.  Recessed mounting normally requires at about 1/2" clearance inside the cowl.
 

These shrouds are generic in that they are designed to fit all full 1/4 scale Mustang kits rather than one specific kit.  They can be surface mounted on the cowl or mounted from inside the cowl.  For either mounting method, engine compartment cooling is practical by opening up the exhaust stacks into the cowl. The instructions cover both mounting methods and provide the correct mounting position.  The builder will likely need  to do minor reshaping along the top and nose of the shrouds to conform to his cowl's contours.  Reshaping is straightforward and well covered in the instructions.

The shrouds are 1-9/32" high by 10-7/16" long and weigh 2.9 oz ea (3.9 w/ tubes)
