Motor Mounts

The first of a new series of motor mounts are ready for initial production, starting with the Evolution 58ccGX / MVVS 58cc, the DA 50R and the DL 50/55E engines.  Initially sized for installation in the Top Flite GS Mustangs, they have several useful features:

They are constructed of commercial grade fiberglass components and heavy duty hardware and are very strong and rigid due to the Mounting Plate which stabilizes the assembly

They offer excellent air flow and access to rear mounted carburetors

They can be customized for almost any standoff distance away from the firewall using several configurations

For engines with rear mounting lugs, the 8 bolts and aluminum standoffs are replaced with 4 Grade 8 socket head thru bolts and 3/4" diameter composite standoffs.  The bolts are drilled for safety wires which means there's no chance of the engine coming adrift!

For engines with mid crankcase mounting lugs (like the DA & DL engines) the mount can be used as a spacer in conjunction with the supplied standoff to properly position it in the cowl.
 

These engine mount kits are complete with everything needed for installation. 
For example, here's what's included the Evolution 58cc kit:

(1) 1/4" composite Mounting Plate

(4) 3/4" dia pre-drilled composite Standoffs

(4) 1/4-20 X 3-1/2" drilled socket head cap screws

(4) 1/4" high collar lock washers

(4) 1/4-20 T-nuts

(1) 1/4-20 machine screw with nut and 2 washers

(1) firewall drilling alignment foil (self adhesive)

(1) pc stainless steel safety wire
